Out went the stock single-sheath motor cable; in went three separate, heavy-gauge phase wires. Magura MT7 on the brakes — with no sensor cable in sight.

The story

Standard isn’t our style. On the Thunder 3 we ripped out the factory single-sheath motor cable and ran three separate wires in its place, each one thicker and beefier. The result: a much cleaner look and much more solid power delivery.

On the braking side we switched to Magura MT7, with a little Storm Garage signature: look at it from the outside and you won’t see an electronic cut-off switch or a sensor cable, yet the electronic brake (E-ABS) works like clockwork. How? That’s the garage’s secret.
