How many km will it do?

Capacity, weight, speed, temperature and road. They all count towards a realistic range — the catalogue figure doesn’t.

  • Manufacturer’s claim: 200 km
  • Real-world test: ESG test: 107 kg rider, highest mode, full throttle → 73 km
  • Customer experience: Eymen (90 kg), 7260R V4, mixed riding → about 180 km

This is an estimate. Wind, tyre pressure, battery age and riding style change the result noticeably; the calculation is for guidance only.

The legal speed limit on public roads is 25 km/h. High power and speed figures are for closed-track and private-land use only.

01

What eats your range?

Speed: Air resistance grows with the square of speed; the difference between 25 km/h and 70 km/h can cut your range in half. Weight: Same machine, same specs — but a 40 kg difference means a completely different performance on the road. Cold: Li-ion cells deliver less energy in the cold; it’s normal for range to drop in winter. Road: Stop-start riding and hills demand noticeably more energy than flat tarmac.

02

How do we calculate it?

The calculation combines the energy needed to overcome rolling resistance, air resistance and the road type with the usable battery energy, corrected for temperature. The model was calibrated against an independent range test of the Teverun 7260R and real-world data from one of our customers.

03

Why doesn’t the catalogue figure add up?

Manufacturer range figures are usually measured at a steady, low speed in ideal temperatures. Teverun claims 200 km for the 7260R; in an independent test, a 107 kg rider at full throttle in the highest mode got 73 km. Ridden gently, the same scooter can beat the claim — it all comes down to how you ride.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked

01 How is electric scooter range calculated?
Usable battery energy (Wh) is divided by average consumption (Wh/km). Consumption varies with speed, total weight, temperature and road type.
02 Why does range drop in winter?
In the cold, Li-ion cells can deliver less energy and their internal resistance rises. That’s normal; it helps to store the battery somewhere warm and never to charge it below 0 °C.
03 How far does the Teverun 7260R really go?
The manufacturer claims 200 km. In the Electric Scooter Guide test, a 107 kg rider at full throttle in the highest mode covered 73 km (45.6 miles). At lower speeds the range rises noticeably.
