The story
On the Segway GT1, the 25 km/h limit lives in the controller firmware. With the right firmware the limit comes off and the scooter can reach 70 km/h; cruise control and the hazard lights come back to life too.
On scooters that have already taken an update, the job requires work on the mainboard — and that must be done by an expert. Remember: the legal top speed on public roads is 25 km/h. Speed-limit removal is for closed-track and private-land use only.
